Friday the Thirteenth.....

Well, today is Friday the Thirteenth. It is also the night of the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics! It is held in Athens, Greece: the original location of the first modern Olympics in 1896! Since there is a 7-hour time difference, we'll have to see the ceremony recorded......It comes on at 8:00 tonight....

As for the updates for my birthday, it went fine! To make corrections, they don't serve celery soup with the meal at Genji. They serve onion soup! The food was so good last night. My brother and me split all of our sushi. We had maki sushi. The maki sushi we had consisted of Californian roll, Alaskan roll, Spicy Jamaican roll, and Good Times roll. We ordered all the sushi to be served spicy. Since it was my brother and my birthday, they served each of us a small ice cream cake and rainbow sherbet (they were out of green tea ice cream! >_<). There was also 5 staff members that sang "If you're happy and you know it" in Japanese. I don't think that the fuzzy bean was served there. My dad ordered some eel and some salmon eggs (he also had the dinner, of course!). Our chef that cooked for us was from South Korea. He moved over here when he was 7. Overall, the food was good.

When we got home, we opened our presents. I got Switchfoot - The Beautiful Letdown, Shadowmancer (A novel by G.P. Taylor), a M3 power straight razor, and a red and white striped emergency exit shirt (which I'm wearing today! ^_^). My brother got P.O.D. - Payable on Death, 3 new Left Behind >The Kids< books, a wallet, and a grey and navy blue emergency exit shirt.

We then sang "Happy Birthday", blew out the candles, and had some cake. There's still plenty of leftover cake!

Overall, my birthday was fun. There's a lot of things I'd like to do in the next ten years.....
